For access to ACCRE resources, you will need a Secure Shell (SSH client) on your local machine. Clients are available for the following OS's (n. b., SSH should already be installed on Unix/Linux and Mac OS X machines):

For VU students, faculty, and staff only:

• SSH Secure Shell for Windows Client for Windows
• SSH Secure Shell Client for Linux and Unix

For anyone:

• PuTTY for Windows
• MacSSH for MacOS's
• OpenSSH for Linux, Unix, and other OS's

Please download and install the appropriate SSH client (and scp/sftp clients, if available) on your local machine.

Once installed, configure the SSH client to log into the cluster's gateway machine, vmplogin.accre.vanderbilt.edu. Connect to the gateway, and enter the username and password assigned to you when you requested an account. You are now logged on.
